The idea was that if we couldn't bring Mike 1, or Scotty closer to the backpacking, then we could bring the backpacking closer to Mike 1 and Scotty. While we did get Mike 1 to join us for a couple of days, Scotty was busy, but it was his suggestion to give the Wallowa Mountains a go, and so it was, to NE Oregon we ventured and the Eagle Cap Wilderness was our playground.
I regret that I chose not to bring my 4/3 Olympus and instead shot the entire trip on my iPhone X, which was pretty new at the time. While it did a fine job, I miss having the larger resolution composites that I had been using the Olympus for, and I didn't make those choice again on future endeavors.
Mike turned around and headed out, and we continued over the pass and down into the Imnaha River basin.
